We Care Baltimore, Inc., a 501 C3 was birthed well over 21 years ago by Stephanie Poplar and her board to assist Baltimore City residents with vast resources to help individuals become self-sufficient. We provide a network of organizations that meet the need of women, elderly, children, adults, residents and employers. Our Team is comprised of diverse professionals who have shaped Baltimore’s economy.
Programs and Services
Graduate Her training program - This program seeks to help women obtain higher education.
She Wins Academy - This program enriches all to dream and aim high in achieving their educational goals.
Sword Program - Sons without responsible dad- This programs empowers young men to aim high by setting goals.
Hurtt Fathers Advocacy - Under the leadership of Mr. Hurtt, fathers are empowered through workshops, seminars and conferences. Workforce Development Training & Vocational Training.
Henson's Way 203K Workshop Series: Empowering Homebuyers through Education and Equity Building.
This workshop offering is conducted by 203K Consultant, Mr. Melvin Henderson.
The FHA 203(k) loan enables home buyers to finance both the purchase of a fixer-upper and its renovation under one mortgage.
Training
Serv Safe Food Protection Manager course - This 16 hour training program prepares individuals for the national certification through National Restaurant Association to properly prepare, handle and store food and work in commercial kitchen at various establishments.
Care Giver training- This program prepares individuals to work in an assisted living setting as a Care Giver.
CPR & First Aid Training- This certification course is through American Heart Association.
Life-skills Training- This life-skills training course is geared to preparing individuals for life success.
Entrepreneurship Training & Self-employment opportunities- This course offers a blueprint on how to establish a business and manage it. The legal implications of forming a business will be discussed. Participants will obtain an EIN number, receive documents on business types and more.

Classes are in partnership with Harbel Community Partnership and other housing counseling agencies.
We Care Senior Home Repair Program. Home repairs can be costly yet important for our senior population who have a difficult time moving about and around the home.
